Anxious Terrier faces huge adjustments

Jayden is a complicated, anxious little chap who is trying to adjust to huge changes in his life. He had been in rescue in Australia for two years and was brought over here by a young couple just a week or so ago. After a long flight he is becoming Read more…

Jack Russell growls at the toddler.

Here is nine-year-old Terrier Pippa, watching the little girl. What is the child going to do next? Is she going to toddle towards her? Pippa doesn’t like that. She growls at the toddler. Things are getting worse. The other day the child was beside her dad, and Pippa rushed between Read more…

Over-excited little dog from Spain. Too much jumping up

I have fallen in love. Again! Over-excited and adorable little 7-month-old Perro was found in sad circumstances in Spain, quarantined. He was brought home by friends of the couple who have now had him for one month. He is a terrier of some sort. He is remarkably stable and resilient Read more…

Stress like a pressure cooker waiting to blow

I have just visited two more dogs living together that on occasion fight. Harry and Star, both terrier mixes, have always had a volatile relationship. They are both in their third year, and were adopted as puppies. Star must have some Border Terrier in her, and Harry is mostly Tibetan Read more…

Rescue not what she signed up for

It can be heart-breaking for someone who, rather than getting a puppy, rescues a dog in need of a home, only to find out that there are hidden agendas that start to come to the surface after a week or two. They have their dreams of a dog companion and Read more…
