Two Female Pugs Suddenly Fighting

Why would two dogs that were once best friends suddenly start fighting?

Cherry has lived with Bo and the family for nearly a year and all was well until a few weeks ago. The two four-year-old Pugs played together and slept together.

They noticed little hints of unrest shortly before the day Cherry went for Bo.

Food was involved. A friend’s dog, Skye, was with them.

Soon after this it happened again only this time the fight didn’t involve food.

The family now had to watch the dogs closely to prevent further fights breaking out.

Then disaster struck.

‘Operation Calm’

Once an attack happens, its done. It can’t be undone, The clock can’t be put back. If nothing changes it can only go one way – downhill. With every incident it becomes more likely to happen again – rehearsed behaviour that becomes a habit.

Dogs fight only when the man is at home

When the man is at home which due to work is only three days a week, the two dogs fight ferociously. Rufus becomes demanding and insecure – not letting the man out of his sight, whilst poor Stoker has to be shut away. When they are alone, or just with the lady, these two dogs get on famously.
