Two months have gone by Jessie has become increasingly scared of going out on walks. Strangely, she happy to have her harness and lead on and looks eager at the door. She walks out a few steps until she gets to the car and then will go no further.

separation
They leave her alone. She howls, paces, scratches the door.
Five-year-old Maggie was okay initially when they first adopted her eight months ago. The separation problems developed until they could no longer leave her without coming home to a wrecked carpet and damaged door.
Guarding or resource guarding
Won’t give. Guards resources. Growls warning. Now bitten.
This person had done something the couple, Alfie’s owners, had fortunately never done. As many other people would have done in the circumstances when a dog won’t give, this person looking after Alfie would have none of it and used force.
Fear
Distressed, trembles and whimpers at bedtime.
The lady then fetches Millie’s bed and takes it into her bedroom, followed by Millie. She gets ready for bed then gives the dog a treat for getting into her own bed. She goes to bed herself.
Immediately everything changes. Millie jumps onto the lady’s bed.
She trembles. She whimpers, jumps on and off. Obviously very distressed, she drools.

Left all alone. Panics. Tries to escape.
