Bark Bark Bark Barking

Trying to watch TV in the evenings is near impossible. He barks at them all the time they are eating so has to be bribed with their food. As soon as all is quiet, the barking into corners will start. He will eventually settle down, but someone only has to move and off he goes again.

Quick-fix punishment fallout

The trainer sat on the sofa, ready for the three-month-old Buddy to be released from the kitchen. He flew over to her in his exuberant and friendly fashion and what did she do? She sprayed in him the face with bitter apple.

While the puppy was going mental after this, she then pinned him down. She even tried to show the two-year-old little girl how to use the spray on her puppy.

Then, Buddy back jumping up at the kitchen gate, she threw her keys on the floor in front of him.

Did he really bite out of the blue?

I suggested that she asked her vet to give Pete a thorough check including bloods and a physical examination to rule out pain and any other condition that could make him have a short fuse. Unfortunately the vet refused, saying he could see the dog was fine and then gave confusing and outdated behaviour advice.
